"Yugen"
is at the core of appreciation
of beauty and art in Japan.
It values the power to evoke,
rather than the ability to state directly.
"Wabi-Sabi"
a Japanese aesthetic concept
that finds beauty and serenity
in objects, landscapes, designs, etc.,
that are simple, imperfect, and impermanent:
The concept that inspires the design of this house comes from the intersection of modernist minimalist thinking with the Japanese aesthetic ideals of Yugen and Wabi-Sabi.
With straight and clean lines, simple and geometric shapes, exposed structural materials such as weathered steel, blackened charred wood, and glass, the volume of the house is nothing more than a neutral shell, where in addition to finding refuge and satisfying the needs of the modern living, it is possible to contemplate the surrounding landscape thanks to a totally glazed perimeter that blurs the conventional boundaries between inside and outside.
Furthermore, according to the principles of biophilic design, the interiors are characterized by the use of natural materials, natural light, and greenery that will provide a more pleasing and effective environment for the end-users.
